Dreamy Almond Butter

This summer almond butter is my bff, my ride or die, my #1, my love it till the moon and back.

I’ve always enjoyed almond butter, however this summer I have developed a new found love for it for some reason! I don’t know what it is about it, but I’ve been OBSESSED. It goes in my smoothies, my fruit bowls, on top of my healthy treats, and I’ve even put it in my bulletproof coffees, and let me tell you… dynamite!

Now, with all this almond butter I’ve been downing, it was starting to become pretty pricey! Which, has become a problem. I seriously struggle spending so much money on a jar, that only lasts me about 5 days. So, considering I can buy almonds in bulk (thank you Costco!) I decided to save some money, I started making my own. I’ve definitely made my own almond butter in the past, however, never really thought about adding extra ingredients to boost the flavour a little more. And boy, oh boy, it has been a game changer. I’m actually disappointed in myself that I never thought of this before! Because, up until now my homemade almond butter has always been meh.

So now, I’ve decided to share the recipe with you, because honestly, its too good not too! Even if you don’t like almond butter, I have a feeling this will turn you over a new leaf.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 cups raw almonds
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place almonds on a baking tray with parchment paper, once oven is ready, bake for 10 mins. Allow almonds to cool, then blend in food processor for 10-15 minutes, until smooth or paste like. Add coconut oil, cinnamon, and sea salt, then blend for another 5-10 minutes. Keep in air tight container in cupboard or fridge. I keep it in my cupboard because I eat it so fast, however if you want it to last longer you can keep it in your fridge for up to 2 weeks. Just keep in mind that it will be a little harder, so you might want to take it out of the fridge 20 minutes before using.

Eat it, spoon it, bathe in it.
